OUR COVID-19 RESPONSE PLAN

Our church is currently allowing groups to use our building with limited capacity and protocols in place. We are only open to groups and individuals who schedule a room.  You will need to contact the office to reserve a room. This includes groups as well as individuals.

We will be keeping the door locked during office hours.  If you come to church and need to drop something off or pick something up you can call the church office and someone will come down to the door.  Office hours are Monday–Friday 8:00am–Noon.

 IN-PERSON SERVICES

The Trinity Lutheran Reopen Team has determined that our local conditions meet our gating criteria to allow us to move to holding in-person worship services.  We will begin by holding in-person services EVERY OTHER Sunday starting on Sunday January 31, 2021 at 9:30AM.  We will follow all protocols for people to be inside our building.  If you plan to attend an in-person service please review and follow our protocols for your safety and the safety of others.

Every individual must consider several items BEFORE participating in a service inside our building:
  • Older adults and people with certain underlying conditions like heart or lung disease or diabetes are at increased risk of severe illness from COVID-19 illness.
  • The virus is known to spread from person to person, so guidelines are in place for your safety and those you are with while inside the building.
  • Be alert for symptoms–ranging from mild to severe illness and REMAIN AT HOME if you are experiencing them or have been in contact with someone who has them.  People with COVID-19 have a wider variety of symptoms ranging from mild to severe.  Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus.
  • People with these symptoms may have COVID-19:  Fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea.  If you have any of these symptoms, please do not enter the building.

Our Guidelines for building use are:
  • Face masks will be worn at all times in the building.  (we have some available at the building entry door if you forget to bring one or do not have your own)
  • Adhere to the six-foot physical distance between people at all times.  Do not shake hands, hug or gather outside family units.
  • Pews in the worship space are marked off and capacity limits are in place to help us meet the distancing requirements.
  • There will be no congregational singing.
  • We will not have a fellowship time before or after the worship service.
  • We will not be hanging up our jackets and ask that you take them with you to your seat in the worship space.

We partnered with Environmental Health Services who put together a detailed response plan that we are using to guide us through the re-opening process.  You can read the details of the plan by downloading a pdf copy:
